Babin's Seafood Amberjack with Pontchartrain topping

Ever heard of Amberjack fish? I never have. But it was the most expensive fish on the chalkboard that was about the same price as the tuna steak. I thought I'd try it out. I also had a choice of toppings and a side. I chose the Pontchartrain seafood topping consisting of shrimp, scallops, and crawfish with mushrooms in a wine roux-based sauce and steamed green beans on the side. It was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood. The amberjack fish was a thick fish that people would mistaken for chicken if they weren't told what it was. But it definitely has a different texture than chicken. The topping just made everything taste even better and more delicious. I really found this dish quite satisfying and would definitely get it again.

TLC Dark Chocolate Coconut : Fruit & Grain Bar

Do you like Almond Joy? I kind of do, but kind of don’t. One reason I don’t is because it just tastes like too much sugar in the middle with the white cream and coconut in the middle. The nutritional value states it contains 220 calories, 13g of fat, 20g of sugar, and 26g of carbohydrates.

TLC’s Dark Chocolate Coconut bar contains 120 calories, 3.5g of fat, 7g of sugar, and 21g of carbohydrates making it a light snack instead of a heavy one. This is absolutely more satisfying as it has a sweet tooth filling and yet healthy one because of its whole oats, wheat, rye, brown rice, barley, buckwheat, and sesame seeds. With a chocolate layer on top, biting into it means biting into all of the bar, making it a great mixture all together. Quite enjoyable and definitely a great alternative to a regular candy bar.

Pei Wei's Tofu and Vegetable Fried Rice

Today I had Pei Wei for lunch. Didn't have but 6 bucks of cash left and some change. I sure did get alot for my money! I ordered to Fried Rice bowl with Vegetables and Tofu which came out to 7.20 for my meal. I only at 1/4th of it though =( since the portion was way too big for me. I do recommend that if you're a girl with a normal appetite, a bowl of fried rice will definitely do well for two =) On another note, I wanted to go to Pei Wei because I knew they would have brown rice instead of just plain white rice, but since I forgot to bring it up, they just made it with white rice. I also liked the fresh snap peas they included, it was very fresh and crispy.
